Long ago...
While the animals were still being named and “normal” was still being defined, a tiger strolled out from their corner of the mangrove and took a look at their reflection. “Hmm,” said the tiger, “this pale orange is looking rather bland today.” A watching bird cawed down their agreement before taking flight. The tiger was immediately aware of how many colors the bird appeared to be as they flew by, their wings glistening in the sun. Like a rainbow, the tiger thought, how wonderful! I must ask the bird how they got that look! The hunt was on! But catching a bird of many colors as a tiger is not the easiest task. The tiger quickly realized they would not find their feathered friend again, especially if they continued to give chase. And so, the tiger remained orange.
