Everyone loves mermaids. They're some of the most romanticized mystical creatures in fairytales, probably only second to unicorns. But what people don't realize is that mermaids don't just swim through the ocean, playing with dolphins and working on their beautiful sun-kissed tan look. Sure, they get to live in a breathtaking underwater kingdom covered in coral and pearls, but there are some real downsides to being a mermaid. You know how some people have two left feet? Well, mermaids long for even one foot! Do you know how hard it is to play hopscotch or jump rope with no feet, or to participate in a square dancing contest? You just can't!
Then again, mermaids get to wear shells for clothes and always look so beautiful, so maybe not being able to tap dance is a worthwhile trade!

You just might be willing to give up your ability to ride a bike in order to look this stylish! This Women's Under the Sea Mermaid Costume allows you to live like a real mermaid, at least for a night... minus the ability to breathe underwater, of course! The one-piece dress looks like a shell bra top and shimmery green tail, with light purple mesh over the stomach area. The "tail" part of the dress includes a solid green bottom piece, light green ruffles along the hips, and then see-through material that shows off your (rather human-looking) legs and is covered in scaly green patterns. At the bottom, it's edged with metallic green and sea foam ruffles. The dress is held up with clear straps, and the costume also comes with a starfish hairclip.
