When was the last time you went to the zoo? Did you take a good look at the big cats? It's strange how they're so like our house cats. They nap in the sun until a leaf flutters nearby or a grasshopper jumps too close. Then their head pops up and their eyes narrow at the movement, deciding if swatting at the movement is worth some of their precious energy. Usually, it's not and they go back to napping. But when it comes to the leopards, viewers don't really get to watch. Their camouflage just works too well. They'll be lounging on a log that's framed in leafy branches and people think the enclosure is empty because the leopard's spots blend in perfectly with the dappled shade around them. But once people do catch sight of these graceful creatures, it's always worth the effort. These cats are truly gorgeous!
