Bavarian parties are so epic that their standard harvest party has become a worldwide celebration. We were just wondering why. At first, we figured that it must be because of the beer. After all, that's the only way we can get most of our friends to come over and polka on the weekends. Then we realized the festivals all over the world serve beer and that doesn't make them into worldwide sensations. People around the office offered all sorts of reasons why from brats to polka music.

While we love a sausage more than anyone we settled down to decide that Oktoberfest has spread to all corners of the world because of two things: pretzels and lederhosen. Pretzels because there's nothing more delightful than dipping twisted bread in different flavors of sauce. Lederhosen because... look at this guy! He's dapper and he knows it! This year, don't hold back on Oktoberfest. Let loose! Get that twisty bread and wear those festive short pants!

This Oktoberfest costume boils down the lederhosen tradition to its essentials. The pants are black with silky piping around the edges and a matching scrolling pattern on the front as well as the adjustable chest straps. The red and white checked shirt underneath buttons up the front and is lightweight enough to keep you comfortable when you're dancing to the tuba.
