Rule of Streams
Any new Ghostbuster needs to know a single, very important rule. Before they touch a Proton Pack, they need to know it. Do you know what that rule is? Yep, that's right. Never cross the streams. Unless, of course, there's an ancient paranormal being that has enough power to end humanity as we know it. Then, it's probably okay if you break that one little rule!
There. Now that you know the most important thing about using an unlicensed nuclear accelerator, you're ready to wear this Proton Pack. It's a Made By Us design that's inspired by the classic gear used by the Ghostbusters in the 1984 film!
Design & Details
Our team of designers studied the props used in the movie to capture a realistic feel when crafting this Ghostbusters Proton Pack Costume Replica. The pack is made out of sturdy, molded plastic. Small touches like attached wiring, black tubing, a circular section on the bottom that's designed to look like a cyclotron portion.
The pack also makes real sounds from the movie, so you can relive classic scenes. The neutrona wand can even be holstered on the side of the pack when you're not fighting against Gozer the Gozerian. The adjustable shoulder and waist straps have padding in them, which helps make for a comfortable fit, whether you're wearing it to hunt ghosts or you just want to stay comfortable all night.

I bought this pack to modify, It looks good as is, but it does have it's faults.
The thing that bothered me the most was that the power cell lights were a sticker.
I have already fixed that by installing the correct LEDs.
The LEDs were not expensive and the pack looks AMAZING now!
I replaced all of the stickers on the pack with upgraded and more accurate ones.
I sanded and repainted the shock mount. I aged the Clippard.
I added a 1" metal insulated cable clamp.
I just cut the stock plastic clamp off. The new clamp holding that ribbon looks amazing!
Like another reviewer stated, the screws that hold the "ALICE" frame to the pack are very fragile.
I've never seen such brittle and weak screws. Since I had to take the whole pack apart to add my new LED electronics, I just used better screws when I reassembled it.
I do like the looks of this pack better and other packs look "cheap" compared to this one.
HOWEVER, there is an issue with the materials that this pack is made with. ALL of the body shell and the neutrona wand are made of somewhat flexible "blow mold" plastic.
On the one hand, it was really easy creating the hole for the LEDs for the power cell. I was able to cut the material with a box knife! NO Dremel required.
On the other hand, this material is flexible. Some of the parts, like the cyclotron on mine are slightly warped. Not a huge deal, but it's warped all the same. BUT, the neutrona wand, which isn't very good to begin with is now starting to sag at the V bracket. The material is just too soft. I am going to have to remove the V bracket and make a more sound base for it. Also, my wand is also warped, so the switches are at different angles.. This is annoying, but I am probably going to replace it.
Yes, the cyclotron lights run backwards. I kind of like it. It would be easy to fix it.
The sound from this pack all comes from the wand, and the quality and volume are terrible. Again, I am going to replace the wand.
All this being said, I really like this pack.
We went to a mall on Halloween and I cannot tell you how many compliments I received on my costume and my pack. People were taking my pic and asking to have their pic taken with me.
This really is a good looking pack.
We also went around a neighborhood on Halloween night and I got even more compliments. BUT, I have to tell you that I carried this pack for hours and this is a HEAVY pack.
Bottom line: would I buy it again? Yup.
I don't know how many people are going to drop money on a pack that they will wear only once for Halloween. I think that MOST people who buy this are going to intend to modify it. You know, the die hard fans.
This pack is VERY VERY easy to modify.

There’s a lot to like about this pack but it is far from perfect. It should be a good starting point if you are like me and intend to mod the pack over the next few years. If you’re interested after reading this review I would say buy it while it is “on sale” (it has been on sale for almost a month now). However, some parts of the pack necessitate modding, so if you don’t plan to do that I would skip this pack entirely. In fact, every aspect of the pack I like something about has another feature/bug/design choice I almost equally dislike about it.
Pros:
Pack feels durable and substantial. It’s about 30 lbs but doesn’t feel like it when you’re wearing it.
Mother board is nice and solid, should stand up to modding.
Cyclotron lights stay on when activated.
V hook is ergonomically angled, unlike the spirit pack.
Pack design/mold used is slightly more screen accurate than Spirit pack.
Wand has actual toggle switches built in already.
Pack has a faux A.L.I.C.E. frame with kidney pads and waist straps. Feels good when wearing it.
Cons
Pack is slightly oversized. I’d estimate it’s about 115% scale
V hook is cheap feeling and not an actual v hook.
Wand feels cheap and does not have a lot lights and sounds.
Cyclotron lights go the wrong way. Not entirely inaccurate based on some scenes but something to keep in mind.
Included faux A.L.I.C.E. frame is bolted to motherboard with very cheap screws. The kidney pad mount on mine already broke off. So it is entirely unusable until I can mount it to an actual A.L.I.C.E. frame. The screws literally snapped in half.
SloBOL sticker still not fixed.
The wand actually just kind of sucks in general, I’d recommend replacing it immediately if you have the means.

Don’t buy this, the second I got batteries in it one of the lights didn’t work. I opened it up to see if a connection was loose but it’s using very cheap simple wiring.Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?
