Avengers: Endgame came out with a bang, grossing over $1.2 billion worldwide on opening weekend. This made it the biggest worldwide opening (at the time) over its predecessor Infinity War which held the previous record of $640 million. The release of the final movie in the Infinity Saga brought out many critics in regards to character evolutions, none more so than Thor who undergoes the biggest transformation of all. While some viewed this as hilarious others were outraged by the transformation into Bro Thor, accusing it of fat-shaming. He becomes the butt of many jokes throughout the movie. The Russo brothers and Chris Hemsworth, on the other hand, were delighted in how the character turned out, indicating that they had many conversations about the character arc before production began.

In recent years, Disney has been ramping up their Disney Princess game. They're more than pretty faces: they don't need a man to swoop in and save the day. Over the past decade, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become a juggernaut of geek cinema, breaking record after box office record. If there’s been a complaint about the franchise, however, it’s been that the supervillains have been rather lackluster. Not Thanos, though. He’s a juggernaut all by himself. (Though he shouldn’t be confused with the actual Juggernaut from Deadpool 2, but let’s not mix our metaphors here.) 52 years ago in Fantastic Four #52, Black Panther debuted as the first black superhero in mainstream American comic books. His alter ego is T’Challa, head of the Panther Tribe and king of Wakanda, a fictional African nation in the Marvel Comics universe. T'Challa was married to Storm of the X-Men for six years and, as Black Panther, fought alongside the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. The character was never as well-known as these Marvel Comics heavyweights, but that appears to be changing. Actor Chadwick Boseman was lauded for his performance as T'Challa in Captain America: Civil War, and the Black Panther solo movie is setting records for advance ticket sales.

May 2015, The Avengers take to the silver screen for the second time in Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron. All of the Avengers return with new toys and upgrades from the previous films, courtesy of Tony Stark- and none of those upgrades are more prevalent than Iron Man's Hulkbuster Armor. Featured in many of the previews for the film, this titantic armor is designed by Bruce Banner and Tony Stark to subdue Banner's alter-ego The Hulk.
