Guard Dog from Another Dimension
Who needs a golden retriever when you can have a demonic beast with glowing eyes and a growl that shows the world that you serve Gozer now? The Ghostbusters Terror Dog Animatronic is here to haunt your home, intimidate your guests, and possibly open a portal to another realm—just in time for Halloween. It's creepy, it’s nostalgic, and it’s got the kind of energy that says, “I don't fetch, I possess.”
This beast isn’t just for show. It moves. It growls. It lights up like it’s ready to chase Louis Tully through your living room. And it’s exclusive, so you’ll have bragging rights along with the goosebumps.
Design & Details
Constructed from molded plastic and officially licensed from Ghostbusters, this animatronic Terror Dog measures a beastly 59 inches from nose to tail and stands 33 inches tall. It includes two interchangeable horn sets to customize your creature—whether you’re channeling the Keymaster, the Gatekeeper, or some terrifying third option your guests don’t need to know about.
When powered on, its eyes glow an eerie red, the head turns from side to side, and it emits deep, growling audio guaranteed to unsettle even the bravest ghost hunter. Volume control lets you set the spook level, and it features off, try-me, and step pad activation modes. It plugs into standard outlets or runs on 4 C batteries (not included), and if used outdoors, it must be under cover and plugged into a GFCI outlet to avoid shocking experiences of the wrong kind.

- Ok who brought the dog?... I did and so can you!By gsmacker08 | September 18, 2025
Ok guys, if you grew up in the 80s loving Ghostbusters and still do.. what are you waiting for? As a kid I remember seeing the terror dogs on screen for the first time and immediately thinking to myself... I freaking want those dogs!! Well here I am... in my 40s with my own local Ghostbuster nonprofit team grinning ear to ear. Why? Because now I can have Vince and Zuul at our events!!! These really take it to the next level for events; I can't wait to take them out with Slimer and Puft (also purchased from here). The head movement is smooth, super easy to assemble, the snarling audio is great, and the eyes look nice and bright even in a lit-up room. They aren't heavy either, I can pick them up easily and move them around even though they're big (photo of my hand on dogs head for comparison, I'm 6ft 4) Honestly the only thing I would change would be the chest piece with the motion sensor. It's a bit tricky to get flush into the body and having those seam lines show kinda kills the chest but I get that it's access to the wiring and head motor but why not make it under the dog belly like the power input? Also, maybe make Zulls horns a bit longer... the short nubs look a little tooooo nubby.
Dogs still look great, don't let these pass you by.. they're light years nicer than that other halloween stores dogs.. just saying! Major thank you to halloween costumes for making these dogs for all us Ghostheads out there! Was this review helpful to you? - The fridge is making weird noises.By Nik | September 21, 2025
They look so good, I had to buy a second one. These have completely replaced my Spirit Terror dogs. The plastic body is nice and they feel like they weight less that the Spirit ones. The Chest plate is a little goofy and needs a little pressure to fit right. I recommend poking a small hole where the screw is trying to pierce the plastic to make installation easier.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you? - Ok, who brought the dog?By Nik | September 21, 2025
I own two of the Spirit Terror dogs and they cannot even come close to how amazing this Terror dog looks. The moving head, light up eyes, and sounds are perfect.
Side note,, my Terror dogs eyes did not light up at first. If yours does the same, unscrew the mounting plate from the head and remove the tape covering the wires going to the eyes. The tape is conductive and may be shorting the eyes out. It should work find after the tape is removed.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you? - Great buy. My dog HATES it!!By Timothy J Evans | September 17, 2025
Super cool and lightweight, so it was easy to get on the roof for all to see. My dog is terrified of it, so that is an added bonus. Can't wait for everyone to see it on display.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you?
