Most guys don't wear makeup on a day-to-day basis, so when you choose your Halloween costume, the fact that it may involve makeup could make or break that decision. Vampires, zombies, clowns and other costumes are known to regularly use makeup. Perhaps you're teetering on the edge of using makeup or just getting a mask, but remember that effective Halloween makeup can outweigh some of the cons of wearing a mask. There's no weird latex smell, for example, plus no problems with breathability, no mask sweat, and you don't have to worry about a limited field of vision. Classic board games like Clue, Monopoly and Candyland have been getting face-lifts by pairing them with beloved movies and television series. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Candyland and Doc McStuffins Operation are examples of variations on these board games that make complete sense. Clue, originally Cluedo, is another iconic board game, and it is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year! Like many of the other classic board games, Clue also has various alternate versions. (Granted, some make more sense than others!) The original game of Clue revolves around a group of would-be murderers, a mansion with various rooms and a handful of potential weapons. We decided to design our dream version of Clue, and what would be better than a haunted mansion filled with iconic horror movie villains?

The horror genre has several staples that are bound to give you the heebie-jeebies: jump scares, creepy kids, basements, isolated settings and creepy dolls. We'll be taking an exclusive look at horror movie dolls. What is it about dolls, ventriloquist dummies and mannequins that scare us? The fear of non-human but human-like things is called automatonophobia. Perhaps the unblinking, soulless eyes are unnerving. In a dark room, dolls can be mistaken for a lurking figure. Dolls can even be made to resemble a particular person, which often hits that uncomfortable spot in the uncanny valley. Whatever the case may be, scary dolls aren't about to stop appearing in horror films anytime soon, especially this year with movies like Annabelle Comes Home, the Child's Play reboot and Brahms: The Boy II. It was a dark and stormy night.... If you happen to enjoy spooky campfire stories and twisted urban legends, this phrase is often the opening for any scary tale. (Or if you enjoy Peanuts, you know that Snoopy attempts to start many stories this way!) We like a good scary story just as much as anyone else, so we're going to share ten of our favorites with you, from creepy cryptids to ghastly ghosts and odd occurrences! Some of these are kid-friendly scary stories but others aren't, so please use your best judgement when choosing tales for your particular audience.
