Not all heroes wear capes…
But they should wear masks. Protecting one’s alter ego is essential when it comes to hero work. Without a clear-cut way to distinguish a hero from their private persona, they’d never get a moment's rest. And a tired hero isn’t performing at their best.
The only issue with masks, though, is their ability to slip off or cause discomfort. It doesn’t take much for an elastic band to slide too low and drag the eye cover with it. And a tied-on mask? Tied too tight, and a hero gets headache-y. Tied too loose, and they might as well throw the thing on the ground themselves.
