DIY Volcano Man Costume: You'll Feel Hotter Than Lava

The Eurovision song contest is one of the biggest musical events in the entire world, so naturally it became the subject of a parody movie. In the real-world contest, European individuals and bands represent their respective countries in a massive "battle of the bands" as they compete to have the top musical performance in Europe. Cue the Netflix movie, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as singers representing Iceland. News has been relatively quiet approaching the movie's release, but the buzz absolutely exploded when they released the song, Volcano Man! (Admittedly, it's pretty catchy!) There's so much to love about Volcano Man, from the silly music video to the over-the-top costumes! Anyone looking to snag this glorious DIY couples' costume idea for Halloween this year should keep reading for all of our tips and tricks. Get ready to be the volcanic protector man of your dreams!

DIY Babadook Pride Costume and Makeup Tutorial

Babadook Meme Costume for Pride

If someone told you a few weeks ago that the Babadook would become the most popular symbol of 2017's Pride Month, you wouldn't have believed them. But, if the past year and a half have taught you a single lesson, literally ANYTHING can happen. Thank goodness for us, this time that "anything" was something incredible. The Babadook is a horror movie released in 2014 about a single mother and her kid being tormented by a storybook character. Pride is a celebration of LGBT rights, love, and acceptance. So, why is the Babadook a gay icon? Well, many reports say that Netflix accidentally added the film to their LGBT section, and as the internet is known to do, the joke took off. Whether that origin story is true or not, we don’t really care, because we love the Babadook’s new inclusion at Pride events around the country. Since we are HalloweenCostumes.com, and this is too amazing to not take part in, we created our own DIY Babadook costume perfect for you to wear to Pride or for Halloween this year.

DIY Harley Quinn Jumpsuit Look

October 2016 may be dubbed Harleyween, but that doesn’t make us want to dress as her any less this year! It’s no wonder she’s so popular among cosplayers and costume fans – Margot Robbie’s portrayal of the supervillain was the best part of Suicide Squad this August, and the character has been a fan favorite since her first appearance in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. However, while we think there is nothing wrong with being another Harley at your Halloween party (the more the merrier, puddin’!), we do suggest putting your own twist on it. That’s why for this year, we’ve created an alternate Suicide Squad costume featuring her look from inside the prison: orange jumpsuit, romance novel, and tea cup all included. See below for our full DIY tutorial!

Trump and Hillary DIY Costume

The election season is upon us and America is full of conflicted voters who have yet to decide if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump should be our next President of the United States. Clinton, if elected, would become the first female president in history, and Trump would become the first president to come straight from a corner office. In a race this close, the position is anyone’s for the taking right up to Election Day. There are still a few presidential debates between now and then, including another one this Sunday the 9th, that can hopefully make the decision easier on voters come November 8th.

Although we are living in pre-election turmoil, one thing that isn’t up for debate these days...
