Height 6ft | Weight 155lbs | Size MediumWow! I felt like a princess in this dress. I wanted to be Aurora for Halloween, but didn't want a thin/cheap costume. I found this website and this costume and ordered it despite there being no reviews at the time. In the end I was not disappointed! The bodice is made of thick velvet, and the skirt is a quality satin. It already has a petticoat built in so thats one less thing to have to purchase. One big thing to be aware of - the off the shoulder white part is NOT stretchy, which is a bummer. So the only way the dress really stays up is if the bodice is snug enough. I wish the white shoulder part had elastic running horizontally across both so it would stay up well, and because as it is you can't really lift your arms up. With no stretch its too tight and could rip. So you really have to walk around like a princess - arms down and out! I am 6ft, so initially I ordered a size Large so it would be long enough (typically I am a size Medium). Well, because of the non-stretch shoulders, the dress wouldn't stay up because the bodice was too loose. I returned the Large and exchanged it for a Medium. This fit in the bodice now and helped the dress stay up. It was a tad short on me, but really that was a plus because it didn't drag on the dirty ground. My other feedback for the producers of this dress: 1) the zipper pull on the back is too small/flimsy/tiny!! It should be way more robust for the thickness of the fabric. Even just a standard size zipper pull you'd find on a jacket. This got stuck for me several times and I almost ripped the dress trying to get the zipper to fully close. 2) For the cost of this dress and the high quality of the fabric and construction, the accessories are SO cheesy and cheap!!! Lame foam that isn't even the right shape. I would have rather paid $20 more and gotten quality accessories that looked nice. Instead I had to purchase my own elsewhere. BUT all this said, I was happy with my purchase and got so many compliments! The dress truly is beautiful and looks like the "real" character.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?
