The 9 inches is measured from the front of the ankle strap to the tip of the toe, so it covers the forward section of the shoe cover and does not include the faux fur and heel strap that extend behind the ankle.(AI Generated Answer)

Lots of potential but poorly executed design.
The overall design is awesome and I see what they were going for, but the straps...the straps are so easily breakable. I put these on my feet, I take two steps, then POP POP the straps rip off. You'll need some extra sewing gear to keep these bad boys on.

Looks Great but the fur falls out easily. Not sure how long the elastic will last going sideways under the shoe in only one spot. Feels loose and insecure. Most likely will have to re-enforce. The stretchy strap held up. The fur was warmer than I thought which was nice. The velcro straps held firm and adjustable enough to fit the shoes well. The only thing I will redesign was the front toe cover for the shoe. It was flimsy and the cover would go askew if bumped.
Good thing I like to enhance things. I will find a firmer piece of material and possibly use wide elastic so it stays on better. It'll take some experimenting. If I remember, I'll update my post to share what worked.
I did trip a couple times when the claw caught a table leg and the cover turned enough that it caught the other one as I tried to catch myself. It could've been a real klutz fest there.
Other than that, they worked great. With a couple tweaks, they'll work even better. Also, they didn't work with my clunkier high tops.
