The Pride in Peril
The Pride of Paria has been sailing the Seven Seas for years. Landlubbers and pirates alike whisper about what the ship's captain might be searching for. This ship has faced more danger in the last few years than any other vessel in the Caribbean. It's ventured into the dark places on the map, you know the place where all those monsters are drawn onto the parchment? That's a no-go for most pirates. But The Pride of Paria spent a good two weeks exploring every nook and cranny of those coves.
They fought off scaly monsters, avoided the songs of sirens. They even had dinner with a group of cannibals! Lately, the Pride has been spotted anchored at the Spanish coast and we have to say, the captain seems pretty happy with herself. Rumor has it, she finally found what she was looking for. Speaking of, your search has probably come to an end as well. No need to sail into the sunset in search of the perfect pirate ensemble, it's right in front of you!
Details & Design
When you slip this Made by Us pirate costume on, you just might slip into an adventure as well! You can tell our in-house designers had a hand in the gorgeous jacket that's featured in this costume. It has a scroll pattern up the side and a dramatic, pointed hemline, the jacket is cinched with a red sash at the waist and has a beautiful corset layered underneath. The look is topped off with a red scarf and a wide-brimmed captain's hat.
In Ship-Shape condition
Now that you've got the right costume, you should be ready to set sail. If you're looking to tweak the look to perfection pair this with a pair of tall boots, a sword, and an adventurous attitude. When you're looking so boss, one can blame you for commandeering the night.

Height 5' 4" | Weight 225 | Size 2XI wrote a review already, but wanted to also include this photo that shows the costume better. And a note to add that the loops on the gun holster are smaller than the men's costume and we struggled to get the flint pistols into the holster. I will need to alter it or purchase smaller pistols to wear it again. I now see in the photos that the model does have smaller guns in the holster than the men's version. Height 5' 4" | Weight 225 | Size 2XI liked most of this costume overall, but not everything was great. The jacket is very nice. The corset looks good, except that it is short, cuts off at the waist causing the boning to uncomfortably stab me in the stomach when I was sitting, so I did not wear it. The sash is a cheap piece of cloth, much lower quality than the sash from the men's matching costume which we also purchased. Overall we thought the men's version was better quality, but similar. The hat is decent, it comes all smashed in the bag so you have to reshape it. The measurements on the size chart are accurate. Follow the measurements and not your normal clothing size for the correct fit.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

Height 5 6 | Weight 290 | Size 3XI ordered a 3x in hopes to make sure it fit well. I normal wear a 2x. At Target, I frequently need to get 3X in shirts because of my hips and length of shirts. I had extra room with the jacket of this costume so I used black rubber bands to loop around the buttons to hold the jacket in place. The gun holster, I may not wear as it is very loose and not able to tighten it. I did not buy the toy guns as I found that too expensive for me. The red ribbon rolls a bit around my high waist but still cute and adds a pop of color.
