They play a rebel's game, looking for ways to undermine the powers that be. They play a deadly political game, acquiring allies and plotting a rebellion. And the Gilead? They're always one step behind.

Design & Details
This Handmaid's Tale Deluxe Costume is officially licensed from the series and is inspired by the outfit worn by Handmaids. The costume starts with a modest crimson red dress that has a zipper in back. It also comes with a hooded cape of the same color. The cape has metal snaps at the front of the neck. The under and over bonnet combine to recreate the headwear seen in the show. Finally, the costume comes with a simple satchel to bring the whole look together.

I got this costume because I wanted to be a “Handman” for my Halloween party. I am a smaller guy only 5’5” tall and about 145 lbs. The costume did not have much room left after it was zipped. I know that I have broader shoulders than most women but I also have a much smaller chest than most women… so i highly recommend ordering a larger size! The fabric is super heavy and in total I would guess it weighed about 5 lbs. Much thicker than any other costume I have ever owned. I had to have the dress hemmed about 4 inches so definitely made for someone around 5’8” +.
My only complaint about the costume is the wings are a little cheap looking and not very sturdy. I ended up buying a better set from a different website.
I would absolutely recommend this costume to anyone! I got so many compliments at my party! Looks almost identical to the tv series.

- Too small, and too longBy Elizabeth | October 26, 2022Height 5’2” | Weight 125I ordered this costume. The quality is amazing. However, I had to hem 12” off of the bottom, I am 5’2”, just so I did not trip. Additionally, I have a 27” waist, and could not zip this up past my hips.

The two bonnets are sized for a child’s head, and the dress was not made for an adult woman with even an A cup. I went with an L-XL and there was no zipping it (I have 36C, and wear a size 10 in regular clothes). My husband, totally flat chested and even skinnier than I am, couldn’t zip it on himself either. I don’t know what dimensions this is based off of, but it’s not for human women. The dress was extremely small ( I ordered a L/XL) however the cloak was extremely big. My arms wear very tight in the sleeves and the dress would not zip up . I am usually a size medium or 8 .
