Great question! Our product details for this staff don't specify the lighting mechanism, battery type, or whether it can be modified for a hardwired setup, so I'd recommend reaching out to us directly through our site's contact options before purchasing so we can get you that exact information.(AI Generated Answer)
Q: Does it take batteries?

The staff is named "glowing" but our features don't include any electronics, switches, or battery compartment for this item. It's a four-piece molded plastic staff that assembles by sliding and twisting the sections together, standing about 56 inches tall when fully assembled.(AI Generated Answer)
Q: Can we choose to make it a certain size. Do all the pieces need to be used or can we use certain pieces to make it a certain size. Needed this to be a good size for a toddler (1 Answer)
Asked by Anonymous | September 30, 2025
Monster Responds...
Yes, you can use fewer than all four pieces to make the staff shorter for a toddler. The staff connects by sliding and twisting the pieces together, so you can simply leave one or more sections off to bring it down to a more manageable length. At full assembly it stands 56 inches tall, so skipping a section or two will get you something much more toddler-friendly.(AI Generated Answer)

The staff does glow, but our product details don't specify the battery type or whether batteries are included. Your best move before ordering would be to check the packaging details or reach out to us directly so we can confirm exactly what you'll need.(AI Generated Answer)
Q: Hi, does this require batteries to get the top to glow, and are they easy to change? (1 Answer)
Asked by Dean Backus | August 29, 2025
Monster Responds...
Our copy describes this staff as glowing but doesn't specify whether batteries power the effect or detail how they're accessed. What we can tell you is that it's made of molded plastic, assembles from four pieces connected by slide-and-twist joints, and stands about 56 inches tall when fully put together.(AI Generated Answer)
Q: It looks like the bulb changes colors... Can you set it to a preferred color with a switch, or do the colors change continuously? Thanks! (1 Answer)
Asked by Interested Customer | August 25, 2025
Monster Responds...
Our copy doesn't get into the specifics of how the light cycles or whether it can be locked to a single color, so I'd recommend checking the product images closely before you buy, as the animated GIFs in the gallery may give you a better sense of how the glow behaves. What we do know is that the staff stands 56 inches tall when assembled and is made from molded plastic with a gnarled wood texture throughout.(AI Generated Answer)
Q: Are the batteries in this replaceable and can it be set to just one colour or does it flash multicoloured all the time? (1 Answer)
Asked by Anonymous | October 20, 2024
Monster Responds...
The lighting details for this staff, including battery type, replaceability, and color modes, aren't something our copy covers. What we do know is that the staff assembles to about 56 inches tall from four molded plastic pieces that connect by sliding and twisting together, and the includes list shows one staff ships in the box.(AI Generated Answer)

Staff has a crack in it, which makes the bottom half loose because I can't tighten it. Cheaply made. Disappointing product.Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you?

I was so excited when I ordered this, and then it arrived. It is ridiculously top heavy, the peices don't stay together well at all & the light is down below in the actual tube of the staff so it doesn't really light up the orb on top at all. Like zero %. For the price that I paid I am beyond dissatisfied.Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you? - BobDotBy Fun! | October 3, 2026
Fun staff and looks great. My only complaint is that where the segments go together seem a little flimsy. I will have to make sure to be very careful not to hold it at one of those seams.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you? - StaffBy Lude | September 21, 2025
