Inspired by the classic villain from the Peter Pan tale (public domain, thank you very much), this ensemble practically demands a flair for the theatrical and at least one epic entrance per hour.
From the velvet hat to the gold-trimmed frock coat, every piece of this costume says, “I may have a vendetta against a flying child, but I will look stunning while handling it.” Pair it with a convincing glare and an optional hook hand, and you’ll be ready for a night of high drama and even higher collars.
Design & Details
The red velour coat is decked out with gold braid trim on the front, back, and sleeves, because subtlety is for sidekicks. The matching tunic gives off major “aristocratic menace” energy, styled like a vest over a ruffled shirt and fastened with center buttons for easy costume changes—or dramatic reveals.
The slim-fit stretch knit pants have an elastic waistband for comfort during duels and dance-offs. The printed sash has faux fur trim and elegant filigree details, while the ascot can be tied to your exact level of dandy. The foam-backed hat? It’s velvet, feathered, and wired for drama. And the faux leather shoe covers add that final "Yes, I do command an entire pirate crew" polish.

I ordered the XL and it came looking sort of like the photo. Upon inspecting the costume the hat was floppy with bent wiring and the fluff on the edge was thin. The shash feels like it was a one size fits all but it is not. I had issue with it riding into my armpit when its on my shoulder. The red jacket does look nice but with this is made me look like a bell shaped pirate, needs to feel more fitted or hemmed. I'm afraid that what someone else already said is true. Its not topquality. Sleaves are to short. There are no pants ( normally there should be kneelenght black pants) there are only tights. The hat is not firm and the feathers are thin. Fabric quality is very thin. The black belt is a disaster !! Very thin, sewn wrong togheter. Luckily I know some costumetricks and van fix a lot of it so it loos decent whan you are not to close. You know a costume I’d bas when you return it the same day it arrives.
Ok, top to bottom.
The hat sucks, plain and simple. It’s a very thin felt fabric with a wire running through to brim. It can’t hold its shape at all.
The vest is a vest with sleeve attachments. The buttons of which are on the wrong side which makes it awkward to button up. And the sleeves always fall short of the wrist.
The jacket was the biggest disappointment. It’s pretty, but obviously cheap. The sleeves of the jacket fall closer to the elbow then the wrist.
