We've finally reached October and Halloween will be arriving sooner than you think! Along with the greatest holiday ever, there is plenty to look forward to in the Autumn months. Things like sweatshirt weather, apple cider, pumpkin spice everything, and watching as many horror movies as possible in the days leading up to October 31st. Every year brings a brand new batch of horror movies, some good and some bad, to add to the neverending list of options to choose from. However, the most popular horror movies to binge watch tend to the be the franchises that feature iconic villains. One of the reasons is because there's so many of them. If a horror movie is successful and has a good villain, they will totally make more. This year alone, we've seen a reboot of Pennywise in the latest adapation of Stephen King's IT. 2017 has also seen or will see new entries from horror franchises including Child's Play, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Saw (which is getting it's eighth film release!).

There's no question that Stephen King is the one of the most prominent, influential horror authors ever. Since selling his first short story in 1967, Stephen King has been a publishing machine over the past 50 years. He's penned more than 50 novels and more than 200 short stories, with plenty of other written work in between. Over the years, King has even built his own fictional universe in connecting the worlds described in his work, many of them to The Dark Tower series along with several other characters and locations that either appear or are referenced in other stories.

The concept of a vehicle that can act on its own has been around for decades. Movies and TV shows have often featured these characters with varying degrees of sentience, from cars that can talk and sing and interact with humans to other vehicles who are portrayed merely as self-driving, with no other personality traits. With both Cars 3 and Transformers: The Last Knight in theaters this month, there was no better time than now to create this infographic which features 25 of our very favorite sentient vehicles, dating all the way back to 1941. We’ve included Lightning McQueen and Optimus Prime, of course, but we're also sure to mention some lesser-known vehicles, such as a vampire motorcycle and a murderous semi-truck.

It’s Morphin Time! The Power Rangers are back in theaters for the first time in over twenty years and they’ve brought a new look with them. The latest version of the Rangers will feature an all-new cast with more futuristic uniforms and Zords, but will also include some familiar faces. Power Rangers is a reboot that will feature the original Rangers and other characters from the first Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series that debuted in the US in 1993.

2016 marks the 25th anniversary of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, which is widely considered one of the best gaming consoles of all time. On this 16-bit system, Nintendo released some of the best games from its biggest franchises like Mario (Super Mario World), Star Fox (Star Fox), and Zelda (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past) to name a few. The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight already duked it out earlier this year in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman. In August, Suicide Squad aims to up the ante by forcing a whole bunch of supervillains to work together on a team and sending them on black ops missions for the government. (What could possibly go awry with that plan?) All that superhero movie action got the old brain-juices flowing about films based on the DC comic book universe. It seems like there have been a million Batman movies since Adam West first donned the costume and Superman sure hasn't been shy about showing up on the silver screen.
