Labor Day Career Uniforms

It’s here! The unofficial end of summer, Labor Day. Kids are going back to school and adults are getting a much-needed vacation. Labor Day is a time for everyone to come together and celebrate the growth and development of the American labor movement. With an initial proposal by unionists for a public holiday beginning in New York, Labor Day has become a widely-known celebration for hosting parades, picnics, and barbeques. And you could be a little extra by celebrating in a fun uniform costume!

In 1887, Oregon was the very first state to adopt the first Monday in September as an official public holiday. After 30 states had joined Oregon, Labor Day was recognized as a federal holiday in 1894. Canada also celebrates Labor Day on the first Monday of September to honor those who work hard. However, 80 other countries have chosen to honor their workers on May 1st each year for International Worker’s Day. This year, we bring you a plethora of career uniforms and occupation costumes to help celebrate this day in style!
