Jigglypuff, Jigglypuff
We’ll be honest with you. We have no idea what the heck a Jigglypuff really is. Most Pokémons tend to resemble a human-world animal counterpart: The Psyduck has clear similarities to waterfowl, the Dragonite is dragonesque in appearance, the Rhydon is what a rhino could be if it reached its full potential, and the Pikachu is clearly a sweet little hamster. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
And then, on the other hand, you have the Jigglypuff. Is it a pink marshmallow? Is it a balloon with a Charlie Brown-style squiggle of fur? Who knows! Even its pre-evolution Igglybuff manifestation holds no clues. Ultimately, we’ve decided that it doesn’t matter, because anything that cute doesn’t need an explanation.
Famed for its hypnotic eyes and mystically soothing lullaby, the Jigglypuff is a Pokémon to be respected, even when it draws on the faces of those who have fallen asleep to its melody. Minus the doodles, imagine how helpful that lullaby would be in curing insomnia! You’d never have to count sheep again.
