The Plus Size Queen Bee Costume Dress for Women is a full ensemble that includes a satin and tulle dress, organza wings, printed mesh gloves, stockings, a floral headband with antennae, and a satin necklace with faux flower. The in-house design team clearly decided that if you were going to dress as royalty of the insect world, half measures were not an option.
The queen bee has always had a reputation for running things efficiently and looking good doing it. This costume leans into that fully. The tulle bustle, the stinger sewn right onto the back of the dress, the faux flowers on the front — nothing about this look is accidental.
Design & Details
The dress features a satin top, a tulle fabric skirt with a satin underskirt, a center back zipper, and a detachable tulle bustle that secures with hook and loop fastener. The coated wire inside the organza wings keeps them shaped and upright, which matters more than people realize once you are actually wearing wings in public.
The printed mesh gloves and stockings both have silicone elastic at the tops so they stay put, and the satin necklace fastens with a hook and loop closure. The headband features satin-covered antennae and faux flowers to finish the look from the top down.
