Walk, Wobble, Repeat
Somewhere in the land of Oz, a crow-scaring field hand got very philosophical about his lack of a brain — and then walked a very long road about it. The Scarecrow didn't just want smarts. He wanted a diploma, which, honestly, is very relatable. The piece of paper feeling more real than the actual knowledge is a universal experience.
The good news is, this costume comes with a diploma. Your kid is already ahead of the curve.
Design & Details
The green shirt is made from faux suede twill fabric and pairs with faux linen twill pants that have an elastic waist, because comfort matters when you're skipping down brick roads. Colorful orange patches on the pants nail the patchwork scarecrow look, and straw fringe at the wrists, collar, and ankles sells the whole "stuffed with hay" situation convincingly.
The hood is designed to mimic the Scarecrow's classic look and the black hat is molded felt — shaped, structured, and staying put. White jersey fabric gloves and a fake diploma with a red ribbon accent round out the set. This is an officially licensed Wizard of Oz costume, so every detail is true to the original character.
Brains: Acquired
The diploma is the real victory here. Your kid gets to walk around holding proof of academic achievement without any of the studying. As costumes go, that's a pretty good deal. Once that diploma is in hand, there's really no going back — they're a certified Scarecrow and will absolutely make that everyone's problem.
