Grave Intentions
Nothing says “welcome to the party” like a skeleton launching out of a grave while howling like it’s his first day back from the underworld. The 2.1ft Jump Scare Skull and Tombstone Animated Decoration by Tekky is your go-to for maximum fright with minimal setup. It looks like a standard tombstone at first...calm, quiet, properly spooky. But it's hiding a little secret! The whole thing lurches forward and a bony surprise explodes out from behind it.
Design & Details
Standing 26 inches tall, this exclusive tombstone prop is made from lightweight foam and plastic, with creepy sculpted details, skeletal hands, and a weathered finish. When activated, the tombstone tilts forward and a skeleton slowly peeks up—only to disappear, then launch into a full jump scare, flipping the stone forward with a shriek and glowing red eyes and hands. It’s classic horror timing, built for maximum jumpage.
The prop features volume control and can be activated via motion sensor, try-me button, or step pad (sold separately). Use it indoors or in a covered outdoor space, but don’t let it get rained on—it may be undead, but it’s not waterproof. If plugging in outside, be sure to use a GFCI outlet. And international haunters, heads up: the plug may need an adapter for non-U.S. outlets.

Fun idea and overall quality is on par with other good scare props EXCEPT for a critical manufacturing issue that prohibits full assembly. The connecting bar on the tombstone cannot be snapped to the main jump pole because the male header is one solid plastic piece instead of two plastic pieces that can be pinched together to allow the tombstone bar to lock into place. I verified this with the official Tekky brand assembly video and show in my attached photo. The video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAQ4b2nZVLg (see 1:45 - 1:55) The male header in the video is clearly made with two pieces to allow the plastic to snap into place, and it rotates freely in its socket, whereas the one in my prop is solid and fixed in place. The Tombstone works just as it is depicted. Its movements are very quick to startle the observer. The only complaint would be during assembly some of the pieces were very difficult to snap into place. Other than that I am very pleased with the Item and am looking forward to using it in my cemetery this year.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?
