Design & Details
This full-body costume pulls no punches, starting with the grimy, faded jumpsuit covered in sinister ruffles and unsettling pops of pastel tulle. The exaggerated sleeves, roughed-up fabric, and oversized pocket suggest that Chuck was once part of a very unsuccessful traveling act—possibly called “Screams & Giggles.”
The star of the show is the Chuck the Clown mask: yellowed, cracked teeth in a perpetual snarl, exaggerated blue face paint, and tufts of wild blue hair on either side like a chaotic cotton candy explosion. The painted red nose and glassy stare really tie it all together, as in, you may want to tie your doors shut.
