The Full Court of the Hive
The Women's Queen Bee Costume Dress is a complete bee-themed ensemble for adults, including a satin and tulle dress, organza wings, printed mesh gloves, printed mesh stockings, a floral headband with antennae, and a satin necklace.
Ruling a hive looks like a lot of administrative work until you see the outfit that comes with it. The faux flowers, the gloves, the actual wings with coated wire to keep them in shape. Turns out the queen earned that title.
Design & Details
The in-house design team packed a lot into this one. The satin top pairs with a tulle skirt over a satin underskirt, with a striped stinger sewn directly onto the back and a tulle bustle that attaches via hook and loop fastener. Faux flowers on the front, zipper down the center back, shoulder straps keeping everything in place.
The printed crystal organza wings have coated wire for structure and elastic shoulder straps. The headband features poly-filled antennae and faux flowers. Elbow-length printed mesh gloves and matching printed mesh stockings both use silicone elastic at the top to stay put. The satin necklace closes with hook and loop fastener and has a faux flower detail at the front.
