Well, this Adult Astrid Costume is about to make you feel like you could conquer the world—or at least, you know, a couple of dragons. You can even casually save Berk while looking fabulous. If you're gonna battle on the back of a dragon, you might as well do it in style, right?
Design & Details
Okay, let's dive into the details of this officially licensed outfit. The sleeveless dress top? It's got this cool sublimated jersey knit fabric that recreates the look of Astrid's outfit in the movie, and the bottom is faux fur because Astrid knows how to keep a warm look in those chilly Viking winds. And there's a zipper down the back to make it easy to change into!
The hood is where it gets really good. It's faux suede with poly knit lining, and there's faux fur around the hood and hemline, so you're both cozy and fierce. Oh, and let's not forget the foam skulls on the front. Because what's a good Viking warrior without some skulls? The boot covers and gauntlets? Faux suede with faux fur, because Astrid would totally rock that. They stay in place with elastic bands and even have thumb holes—thumb holes, people! The shoulder armor is molded foam, and it attaches to the dress with hook and loop fasteners for the finishing touch.

Height 5’1” | Weight 130 | Size MediumThe costume is very comfortable and really looks great. The fit is true to size. However, the skulls on the belt are not adhered to the belt very well at all. Within ten minutes of wearing it, one skull came off when I tried to bend over to put on my shoes. Then within minutes two more fell off. I tried using hot glue to put them back on and they did not stick, so now I’m not able to use that part of the costume, With how expensive this costume was, I don’t think that’s acceptable after less than 10 minutes of wear.Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

Everything looked great and had all the peices it was supposed to but I personally felt like the outfit ran a bit small. It just barely fit me and I got a large which is my normal size. The forearm pieces were made maybe a bit short in length for me. They have thumb holes which I ended up cutting more so that I could pull the end higher up my elbow so that it would stay in place and not constantly slide down my arms. I also noticed the belt with the skulls and spikes hanging down was coming apart. The vertical skull and spike pieces were actually popping off of the belt as it came out of the package. It took me a moment to realize what that piece was. I had to reinforce it by hot gluing the pieces back to the belt. As I was hot gluing I saw some of the other pieces started to come off too. I wondered why these seemed to be just glued on and not sewn or something. Also the belt runs small too for me too, but both ends connect with Velcro so I’ll probably end up extending the belt with another few pieces of Velcro.Was this review helpful to you? - Very niceBy Current Customer | October 24, 2025
