Since your measurements land you in the 1X on our chart, that's the size we'd suggest going with, as costume sizing doesn't always match everyday clothing sizes and our chart is the most reliable guide for fit. Height 5’6” | Weight 138 | Size MediumThis gown is amazing. I debated getting one of the less expensive options instead, but I splurged on this one - and boy, was I glad I did! It is absolute perfection! Every detail of this gown is fantastic. The way the fabric flows around the hoops is gorgeous, and when you sit, it’s like a photo waiting to be taken! The fabric roses are so pretty and the glitter roses on the fitted bodice are glorious. It is also surprisingly comfortable for a dress with hoops. The dress is beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the zipper is very cheap and doesn't go with the seam from the skirt to the bodice well. I feel like it could break. Size LargeThis is the best looking widely available Belle costume in my opinion! It looks nice, is relatively well-made and surprisingly comfortable to wear. I was in between sizes by the measurements, so I went up a size and had to make the small alteration of shortening the over the shoulder straps.

Size SmallDress is beautiful, but zipper is cheap. I ordered correct size, dress fit perfectly but zipper was a DISASTER. I had to wear dress with zipper open and use safety pins instead.
