Why Gild the Lilly?

Details & Design
Designed by our in-house designers, this Made by Us look is wonderful for Earth Day events, plays, and all sorts of costume parties. The fit is comfortable, zipping up the front so that it can be layered over other clothing. With a soft green fabric and fresh color, it's sure to stand out in a crowd. The dress has sleeves that fold over your hands for a petal or leaf-like shapes with leaf veins sewn into the fabric. A leafy collar is attached to the neckline, framing the colorful petaled hood. The hood has lightweight petals to make your costume unmistakably cheery!

My husband and I mostly got costumes to complement the absolutely adorable bee suit that my daughter was wearing (purchased as a gift). I love that this zips on over some black yoga pants and a t-shirt and my daughter still knew who I was and I could move freely and get her ready to go. I then put the leaves over my hands and the hood up and - ta-da! - ready for pictures.
If you're looking for something in order to be the star of the show yourself, I would recommend something with a little more figure flattering structure to it. This is basically an extra-long sweatshirt (which, again, for my purpose was exactly what I wanted).Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

It was much tighter and itchier than I expected. I was disappointed as my kiddo and spouse were both going as Plant Vs. Zombies characters and this was supposed to be my matching outfit. I didn't end up wearing it. I bought the size that fit me, but it was just unflattering.Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?
