The Sock Heard Round the Wizarding World
Dobby's whole arc hinges on a single dirty sock. One piece of clothing tucked inside a diary, and the most loyal house-elf in fiction walked free. And let's not forget that this is just the reward of his friendship and loyalty to the Boy Who Lived. That emotional weight is exactly what makes Dobby so unforgettable: he fought for dignity with enormous eyes, even bigger ears, and an absolute refusal to give up on the people he loved. Now you can bring him to your own home and give him the same love right back with this lifesize Harry Potter animatronic decoration.
Product Details
Standing 42 inches tall and 22 inches wide, this figure is built from heavy foam and vinyl for a film-accurate look that holds up to a long night of greeting guests. Powered by a standard outlet, it activates via on/off switch or motion detection, pivots left to right, and raises and lowers one arm while holding a gray sock.
The voice lines are pulled straight from the films, beginning with his tricky ways of protecting Harry Potter (even when he doesn't want the help) and then explaining his curious struggles with the lack of clothing from his Master until, of course, we hear the proud claim that Dobby is free! Every phrase lands with the full weight of those performances.
Free at Last, Frightening at Best
Set him near your front door and watch guests do a full double-take the moment the motion sensor catches them. Dobby has waited long enough. Give him a good spot, plug him in, and let him do what he does best: protect Harry Potter and absolutely rattle everyone else.

I bought this Harry Potter Dobby last month. I wanted a full size Dobby for my Harry Potter collection and decor. This was my first animated figure so I not going to review that part because I don't know what is normal for this type of figure. I am a senior with eye issues so the instructions were difficult for me to see, but I didn't buy it because it moved so I ended up boxing up the parts and just letting it be not moving.
The art work is true to the character. Nice details and paint job. My disappointment was with the legs being made of rubber and hollow inside like boots, but at a distance, it is impressive. The head, shoulders and arms are solid.
I bought it as a statue and it is impressive with clothes covering the parts. If you are a Harry Potter fan, I would recommend it as a statue, but I would have prefer a full figure and not parts on a frame, but being parts, I can put clothes on him by detaching and reattaching his arms. I bought a child's Harry Potter school robe to put on him as you can see below.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you?

Dobby is fantastic and the detail is phenomenal. Only thing wrong was a defect on his face. Mine came with a long deep crease from his smile wrinkle to his lip.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you?

Ordered on Thursday and received it on Monday! Way ahead of scheduled date given. It is built way better than the animatronics I buy at the box stores. The only suggestion is better instructions with clearer pictures. If provided on-line then you could zoom in maybe. Still very happy!Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you? - MissyBy Dobby is awesome but............. | September 14, 2026
I ordered Dobby not realizing he did not come assembled and would need to be put together. However, when put together he is amazing! His original voice from the movie is great. A little disappointed one of his eyes is a little crushed in.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful to you?
