Golden Girls Costumes
Some TV shows come and go. The Golden Girls came along, moved into our hearts, and started offering unsolicited relationship advice from the kitchen table. Decades later, Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, and Sophia remain icons of friendship, independence, and having absolutely no patience for nonsense. We love these ladies, which is why we put so much affection into creating our Golden Girls costumes. Getting the looks right meant doing our homework. Our designers worked directly with Disney to recreate the distinctive styles that made each Golden Girl so recognizable. And these women had very different ideas about fashion. Take our Blanche Golden Girls costume, for example. Blanche never met a little extra attention she didn't appreciate, so we captured her glamorous personality with flashy details and bold sequins.
Our Rose Golden Girls costume takes a softer approach, with lovely pastels and sweet styling that fits her sunny personality. Dorothy's wardrobe is a little more down to business, with relaxed silhouettes and sensible fashion that practically dares somebody to say something ridiculous. And Sophia? She's rocking that old-school cool with classic grandmotherly fashion and the confidence of someone who has absolutely nothing left to prove. Especially to you, Dorothy.
Our collection includes costumes for all four ladies, with sizes ranging from Small through 2X. Many of our costumes use polyester materials to recreate the recognizable clothing styles from the series while keeping things comfortable for Halloween parties and other celebrations. Our designers focused on making the outfits feel like actual clothing the characters might have worn, rather than exaggerated cartoon versions of their wardrobes. After all, the Golden Girls already had enough personality to fill a room. Their costumes don't need to do all the shouting.
