Robes of the Grey Pilgrim
Gandalf the Grey spends most of his time wandering Middle-earth, setting off fireworks, and nudging hobbits toward adventure. Somewhere between facing down a Balrog and arriving precisely when he means to, he still manages to look the part. This Adult Gandalf Lord of the Rings Costume gives you his full wandering-wizard look, with an ash-grey robe, a hooded cloak, a braided belt, and that unmistakable pointy hat.
The Grey Details
Officially licensed from Warner Bros. and a Made By Us exclusive, this costume was designed by a true Tolkien enthusiast on our team who worked to match Gandalf's look from the films. Tolkien describes the Grey Wizard as "veiled in garments grey as ash," so the pullover stretch knit robe comes in ashy grey, with a pleated front panel, flared bell sleeves, and a V-placket laced with decorative cord.
The braided faux leather belt has a silver-tone slide buckle to cinch the robe at your waist. The hooded worsted cloak fastens at the front of the neck with a metal hook and eye, and a 2" enameled leaf brooch pins on for an Elven touch. The cone-shaped hat has wire in the brim and ruching along the back to give the tip its signature curve.
Care & Fit: The robe has a little spandex in the blend, so it stretches for a comfortable fit. Hand wash or spot clean only. Machine washing and drying are not recommended.

The sizing chart was perfect too! I'm 6'2" tall, 200lbs, 44 Regular suit jacket size and the costume's SMALL size fits me perfectly. Believe it!!
Also - it shipped late Thursday 10/10 and arrived early on Sunday 10/12 - that's right, SUNDAY - over a holiday weekend! - Amazing!

Height 6'1" | Weight 225 | Size X-LargeI'd love to make some kind of LOTR reference as to how great this costume is but I suppose I think I'm not terribly clever, so I'll just say that this costume is incredible! The cloak is nice and thick and huge, but perfectly proportional. The gown is made of a material that was a little thinner than I would have liked but it fit well and was nice and soft. The belt is nothing special unfortunately (as I expected going in), but it will do the job. If there is one weak piece in the costume it is the belt. I was pleasantly surprised by the hat. I already have the Gandalf Hobbit hat and was planning on using that with this costume but the included hat actually looks better with the costume and seems to hold its shape better than the officially licensed Hobbit one. Overall I am very pleased with the costume and can't wait to wear it. You can definitely tell that this is no "off the shelf," mass produced "wear once and throw away" costume.
