The Beard, the Myth, the Legend
There comes a moment in every man’s life when he looks in the mirror and thinks, “I could be a fearsome 18th-century pirate warlord.” And friend, today is your day. The Men's Plus Size Blackbeard Costume is your ticket to ruling the high seas—or at least the Halloween party—with gravitas, gunpowder, and just enough flair to terrify colonists and impress your in-laws.
This is not a "wandering bard" situation. This is “storm the deck with two flintlocks and a scowl” energy. With brocade lapels, printed embroidery, and that classic red sash, you’ll look like you emerged fully formed from a history book, sword in one hand, snack plate in the other.
Design & Details
The jacket is a faux linen masterpiece with cotton accents, detailed with brocade lapels and embroidery on the sleeves, giving off “historically intimidating” vibes. The ruffled cuffs and jabot scream, “I may sink your ship, but I’ll do it fashionably.” The jabot fastens easily with a hook-and-loop closure, because even pirates appreciate modern convenience.
The hat? Oh, the hat. Foam-backed faux suede with a feather and scarf combo that says “I’ve plundered better outfits than yours.” The waist sash ties however you like—go dramatic. The faux leather cross belt features a metal buckle and sewn-in loops to hold your (imaginary) pistols. Boot covers with wide cuffs finish the look, because actual pirate boots are expensive and frankly, bad for dancing.

I am a typical 4XL shirt kind of guy. At the suggestion of my wife I ordered the 5XL for a little extra room. I am 6'2" and 385 lbs. I love this costume, it's been decades since I’ve dressed up for Halloween, I’ve never been able to find a nice costume for my uh-hem...robustness. It was super comfortable, I ended up getting a pair of plain black yoga pants as my bottoms, and added a "gold" earing. The pl"leather" belt is not a good quality at all, I didn’t use it because it made the rest of the costume look cheesy/cheap. I got lots of compliments and will continue to wear this for years to come, slowly accessorizing (pistols, swords, proper shirt and boots). Overall this kit as is, is great. Height 5'7 | Weight 260 | Size 2XMeasurements for chest are tight. According to site 2x is 55 1/2. My chest is 52 and it was tight. We added another row of black buttons closer to the seam and it fit much better. And didn't wreck the design of the buttons. Coat length was good but it is a warm coat. Definitely wear a thin shirt underneath. The hat fit well and the white neck thing was way to small. Height 5'7 | Weight 260 | Size 2XWe ordered a 2x for my boyfriend whose chest was 52 inches. A 2x says 55. 1/2. It was kinda tight so we added three black buttons on the coat closer to the end to open up the front a couple inches to make fit better and it looked great! Height 5'11" | Weight 370 | Size 5XSizing was accurate for 5X. The jacket on this coat is awesome and worth the price of admission - the details are nice, the coat is actually quite warm as well. The hat is fun and modular if you do not have one. The sash is a sash, but cut to proper length for the sizing. The ruff is functional and also to size. I opted to not use the bandolier. The boot covers were not optimal and very, very warm. They also were both tight and wiggly - I would have preferred lace ups or actual boots.

Height 6’7” | Weight 315 | Size 5XI’m 6’7” and the costume has perfect sleeve length. I ordered the 5xl to allow for my height. The jacket is well made. Looks great. I plan to add a gusset with adjustment straps to pull in the extra waist room. The gun sash could use some work. Height 6'1 | Weight 410 | Size 6XI purchased the 6x version, I usually wear a 5x/6x shirt, and based on the measurements, it looked like the 6x would suffice. And for the most part, it does. The Coat fits amazingly well (It's super thick though, wear light clothing underneath!) However, the boot covers were not designed for men with larger calf muscles.
I suffer from Chronic Venous Hypertension, and as a result - my lower calf muscle on my legs are very dense, mostly due to the edema that occurs as a result of the CVH. The boot-cover would not fit my legs, it could get it about 70% up before my legs were too thick to fit.
We're going to investigate maybe cutting the boot covers and adding rivets with leather straps to make them larger, but it's a bit disappointing that they're actually sock-type boot covers, rather than the type that you tie down.
There's also no way to secure the gun belt so it's not constantly shifting and moving.
