There are official rules about who gets to captain a ship. Licenses, experience, nautical training... the whole responsible seafaring checklist. Kids, however, have a much simpler system. If you’ve got a captain’s hat and a sturdy ship beneath your feet, you’re already halfway across the ocean on a very important mission.
This Kid’s Ride On Ship Captain Costume lets young adventurers take the helm long before their first sailing exam. One step into this costume and the living room becomes open water, the sidewalk turns into a bustling harbor, and every trick-or-treater nearby becomes part of the crew.
Design & Details
The jersey tunic is printed with colorful ship graphics and designed with boning and foam backing that help the boat keep its sturdy shape while it is worn. This structured design creates the playful illusion that your child is sailing along inside their own bright red vessel.
Adjustable nylon shoulder straps make the costume easy to wear and help keep the “ship” comfortably in place during adventures. The design also includes attached felt anchor and life preserver details for a classic nautical look. A captain’s hat with a front bill and size adjuster completes the outfit and helps your young sailor look ready to steer the voyage.
