Remember playing this game when you were a little kid, and trying to make it past the fox before he cried out “Midnight” as the time? So do we, fondly. In fact, sometimes we even play it in the office, racing in our rolling desk chairs. (Shhh…don’t tell our boss.) That’s why we wish this Toddler Fox Costume came in grown-up kid sizes. We’d make the winner wear it and answer to “What Does the Fox Say?” (We are so good at entertaining ourselves – A-oo-oo-oo-ooo!)
Anyway, right now, Mr. Fox is crying out that it’s “Halloween” time –time to high-tail it out of the forest and run wild around the neighborhood. In other words, it’s time to go trick or treating! Your little one will want to be the best-dressed critter around, because we all know it’s the trickiest ones who get the best treats to take back to the den.
The soft and cuddly Toddler Fox Costume will make your little pup the cutest one out on the prowl. The reddish, faux fur bodysuit has a white chest and a back zipper for quick and easy dress up. The big, bushy fox tail is sewn securely to the back of the costume. Mittens with “claws” are sewn right to the cuffs of the sleeves to make sure they don’t get lost in the woods. The hood with pointy little ears attaches easily with Hook and Loop fastener tabs under the chin, and it will definitely stay on until Midnight!

In person, the body suit fabric compared to the headpiece/tail/paws fabric is just different enough in color that the body looks more "strawberry blonde" compared to the more "orange-red" for the headpiece/tail/paws which sort of cheapens the look. It's difficult to match fabric and more so when the texture is different (which I do very much understand), but the body (also in part due to the texture change of the fabric) reads more "teddy bear" or even "sort of a lion" in coloration than "fox." At night while trick-or-treating, you probably wouldn't notice much difference in the fabric color if that helps, but what's pictured online is more uniform in color than what arrived. My guess is the reason they chose the body suit fabric that they chose since it's likely more breathable, flexible, or better to source compared to the other fabric. However, the headpiece is also oddly large. Maybe it would improve if I shaped it more, but I'm not sure that it would since the size 2T fits MY head about 98% well. I'd say the body suit is more true-to-size instead of "runs large," which meant I should have ordered up instead of down, but will the headpiece for the 4T be even larger? All in all, it's alright…but it overall could have been better than it was. I like the warm layers, which helps my kiddo to be out comfortable during the cold weather.
