- Shirt: 100% polyester, Pants: 71% polyester 29% acrylic
- Screen printed, poly woven shirt, hook and loop fasteners on the back, faux fur sleeves slide on arms and have elastic bands to secure on arms
- Faux fur pants have an elastic waistband, tail sewn on the back
- Faux fur and latex hand covers slide on
- Faux fur and latex shoe covers have toe caps, hook and loop fasteners on the back
- Faux fur and latex mask has mesh in the mouth, eye holes to allow limited vision
- Felt wings have wire to hold shape, secure to the back of the shirt with hook and loop fasteners, shirt panel covers the wings
- Screen printed, felt hat has elastic bands and can be attached to the mask with pins ( sold separately )

If you’ve ever watched The Wizard of Oz and thought, “You know what? That terrifying flying monkey actually had great stage presence,” then this costume might be your moment. With this Plus Size Deluxe Flying Monkey Costume, you’ll be ready to swoop in, snatch a slipper (or maybe just the snack table), and bring a little chaos to the land of mortals.
Design & Details
This high-flying ensemble includes a faux-fur hooded mask made with plush material and molded latex details—so yes, those teeth look just the right amount of menacing. Matching plush pants, sleeves, and a long stuffed tail help you go full monkey mode. The molded latex gloves and foot covers keep the illusion going from fingertip to toe.
The top half of the look includes a bright red and blue shirt styled like an old-school bellhop uniform, with golden accents and a matching fez hat made of felt. The wings—also felt—attach with elastic shoulder straps, so you can spread them at your leisure for maximum dramatic effect. Whether you’re flapping in or just looming ominously in the background, you’ll look ready to do the Wicked Witch’s bidding—or at least heavily judge the munchkins.
Time to Wing It
You don’t need to live in a haunted castle or answer to a green sorceress to enjoy this costume. Height 5’8 | Weight 250 | Size 2XThis costume arrived promptly and looks fantastic! It also runs true to size. Overall I’m content. But I’m not thrilled. At this price point, I feel there should be no issues at all, unfortunately that’s not the case. First, there are no instructions, so you have to figure a few things out on your own. Also, while the hat DOES have two clips built in, they DON’T clip to the fur of the mask… so what’s the point? Next, perhaps my biggest issue is that the wings have two horizontal Velcro strips, but there’s no strips on the back of the shirt, and the Velcro has no real hold on the shirt. So, there’s not a way to attach the wings. I’m hoping I can stitch some Velcro to the back of the short myself, but for the price I paid, I shouldn’t have to. So, three stars. But, I’m optimistic that after I do some work this will look great.Was this review helpful to you?
