The Unexpected Tenant
Welcome to our new home! We think it has a lot of character. Sure, the floors creak at night as if under unseen footsteps and there are a lot of unexplainable cold spots in the attic, but those little details just add to its charms. We'll give you a tour. In the butler's pantry you'll see a set of iron manacles - wonder why those were installed? - and there's a strange red stain on the parlor wall. We've painted over it a few times, but it keeps seeping through. Oh well. If you walk to the end of the hall and turn left, you'll - AHH! Oh, it's just Victoria. She's dead but she thinks that this is still her house. It's all right, though. Her staring eyes and beckoning posture are a little unnerving, but we're 85 percent sure she's harmless!

Two days hanging outside and the stick is bent and and the wire broke to light the eye up. I’m very disappointed in the decor. I really do like this, but there were two things I had to immediately change:
First thing out of the box was that the face skin is a rather lively tan color, which does not match the white hands. The photos online don’t really show how contrasting it is. I repainted the face to a more green gray.
The second thing is that the large black battery pack for the eyes is wired down through the face (which is a thin plastic shell over a harder plastic head), then wired back up through a slit in the fabric by her neck, and then hot glued to her back…. Cannot understand why that was the choice. I pulled it off, slipped it through the hole, and then hot glued it into the shell that makes up the shoulders, which is where it should have been anyway. Now it’s easy to turn on/off by just feeling for the switch through the fabric in the front, and is a bit more sheltered from the elements if you’re putting her outside.
As others have mentioned, the wire in the arms aren’t very strong, so the arms mostly droop to the sides, but with some tinkering, it’s easy to get them to an ok position for a ghost.
I do really like how compact this will be for storage. The pole breaks down, and the rest is really not much larger than a foam head with the wire arms. I don’t have much storage, so having something that can appear as a full size figure, that takes up very little space is a huge plus,
The eyes pulse red, which is better than just constant glowing, in my opinion, but I definitely recomend lighting her with a colored light to really pull off the effect so she’s not just two floating eyes. I staked her down with 4 garden clips, and she seems to be holding well in wind, but I considered moving her to an umbrella stand.
The fabric is great and isn’t going to wrinkle, so little maintenance for the future. It’s drapes beautifully and is slightly translucent with a more opaque tube that hides the pole in the center), so it catches light well.
Aside from the few changes I made to customize it more to my liking, I do really like it, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a storage-friendly ghost that has an impressive presence.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

Looks really creepy when all set up but very cheap materials. The face is made of a plastic mask that I feel can break any minute. Looks awesome just cheaply made.

I received her yesterday. Opened the box and noticed the battery casing with no cover on it dangling on her clothing. Was damaged..wires are not connected. Made her useless. We love this decoration. She came in a small box, and as others have noted, her stand is a bit light and will need some securing to make sure she doesn't fall over on Halloween night. We're going to place her in an old, heavy, patio umbrella stand and shine a blue LED light on her.
She's tall - over 5' 5" - and in the right lighting, creepy, which is what we like - creep and spooky, not gore.
She does not work well with a blacklight. We tried that and her face and hair black out. The LED blue flood light seems to work best, giving it an eerie glow. Her arms a bit flimsy, as another review noted, but we're going to try to shore those up with more wire. It would be nice if she came with stiffer wire so she can hold her hands out like in the picture - they more drop to her side. I'm not a huge fan of her red eyes. They are bit bright for me, but the kids think they are great.
Despite all the room for improvement, she's great. I think she'll look super spooky with a fog machine, blue LED light, and some creepy Halloween sounds.
