Fans are good for a number of things. They may be opened quickly and thrust in front of the face for dramatic effect, as evidenced in Madame Butterfly. They may be used as weapons to beat your enemies to a pulp, as demonstrated in the equally critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat. They may be hung on the wall as festive decorations, as shown by our mother in law in her dining room. We even hear tell that they can be used as fans!

Our Japanese Fan is inspired by traditional designs courtesy of the same people who brought us sushi, Jujitsu, and Godzilla. If you’re sporting a Japan inspired costume this year or are looking at an unseasonably hot weather forecast, consider slipping this little number into your pocket so you’ll be ready for anything!

Not the fan pictured
      By ANDREW Y. / November 13, 2013
This fan does not look like this. It has cheap uncolored or stained wood and the picture is different. It looks like someone printed it off their home printer in 1995 because it's so blurry and nasty looking. We threw it away because it would have cost more to return it than it was worth. Complete junk.

Three Stars

The fan was very pretty and looked great with the costume. However, it arrived broken (the plastic piece that connects the fan at the bottom to allow it to open and close was broken on one of the ends. It was a very simple fix - just required a little glue gunning of the part where it connects at the bottom. But it looked great with the costume!
