The in-house design team clearly spent serious time on the hood, because the embroidered eyes, felt hair tuft, and stiff bill do a lot of heavy lifting. The attached hand covers keep the penguin illusion going without trapping tiny fingers, since they open at the wrists so little hands stay free. The zipper runs down the center front for fast access when the moment calls for it.
The slide-on foam and plush booties round out the look from the ground up. Everything is made from 100% polyester plush, which means it photographs beautifully and holds up to the kind of handling that comes with being passed around a room full of relatives.
