I bought both the XL and 1X of this costume because I was in between sizes. For reference, I'd consider myself a true women's size 14, bra size 38DD (bust size 43"), waist size 37.5". The most uncomfortable part of this costume was the sleeves. The elastic on the sleeves on this shirt were pretty tight and the sleeve length is short, and I don't even consider myself to have big arms. I felt like it was going to cut off circulation after a while. Like the other reviews say, the shirt is also extremely short. It only went maybe 4-5" below my bra line. You have to pull the skirt up to your ribcage to be able to keep any torso skin from showing. The shirt is very snug underneath the chest area, but I had enough room in the chest. The skirt was fine, but it did pinch my sides a little bit more than I'd like. The blouse is VERY short, even in the XL size, and the sleeves are short and tight unlike the model photos.
You have to pull the skirt up to your ribcage then pull the end of the blouse out over the skirt. Skirt is nicely printed. The fabric is very lightweight so you'll definitely want to get a petticoat or slip to wear underneath.
We decided to return and go with another idea from this same site, instead of trying the 2X because the 2X skirt would've been huuuuuge.
We're repeat customers VERY satisfied with previous orders, so maybe this one was just a miss for us.
Full disclosure, we're two guys who wanted to do drag Mirabel and Luisa for this Halloween...the XL blouse is too small for a 44 chest and like I said it's VERY short.Was this review helpful to you?
