Beetlejuice's Reluctant Bride in Costume Form
The Women's Lydia Deetz Wedding Dress Costume is a complete dress costume for adults, designed after the iconic red wedding gown worn by Lydia Deetz in the original Beetlejuice film. Lydia did not plan on getting married that day. To be fair, nobody really plans for a ghost-summoned shotgun wedding in their living room. And yet, here she was, in red, looking incredible under the circumstances.
The gown captures that particular gothic-romantic moment from the film: formal enough for a wedding, unsettling enough that the flowers probably died on the way in. Red is a bold choice for a bride, and Lydia made it work by having absolutely no say in the matter.
Design & Details
The dress features a floor-length red silhouette styled after Lydia's memorable look from the film. The design leans into the gothic formality of the scene, giving the whole outfit a theatrical weight without requiring you to negotiate with any supernatural entities to pull it off.
This one works well for film-themed gatherings, horror movie nights with a dress code, and any occasion where showing up in red bridal wear feels like exactly the right energy. Pair it with dark eye makeup and the world's most resigned facial expression for full effect.
