Gnomish Gnostic Gnowledge
For countless years, people across the world have been decorating their lawns with adorable figures of diminutive people. Why? Well, they were thought to provide all sorts of luck. Their magic would keep gnats away from the veggies and they'd even gnaw into the soil to unearth buried treasure (and aerate the soil at the same time). They seem like pretty gnarly creatures, don't they!? (They were also pretty great at making German gnocchi.)
Some thought gnomes could be a little gnarled from all the underground dwelling. They'd even turn themselves into clay whenever they were seen! But, once those adorable red hats started showing up, we knew that we had some friends for life. Wanna know what other mystical lore they have hiding in their hats? Well, if you're really curious, we have a way to help out. Just get ready for a whole lot of silent Gs when spreading your magical "gnowledge!"
Design & Details
Say the magic word and you'll soon be stepping your way into this exclusive Garden Gnome costume. This is a Made by Us design that was put together by our in-house team of gnuanced—er, we mean talented costume creators! The costume features a dress that zips down the back and is styled after Germanic folklore. The blouse is a beautiful blue with floral designs and cord lacing. Finish off your magical look with the apron, complete with mushroom print, and the traditional conical hat. All you need next is a Renaissance-style dance and, of course, a few extra silent Gs.

I absolutely LOVE Halloween Costumes.com. I have ordered a few costumes over the last few years and they are my first go-to when looking for a costume, so writing a less than 5 star stellar review for them is disappointing to me. This plus size ladies gnome costume is super cute!! It's well made, the quality is what I expect from this company and they don't disappoint, it's exactly as pictured. My issue is the sizing. I am a plus sized woman, a true 2x (18W) at most clothing retailers, however, I usually have to order a size 3x in my costumes off here because they are made smaller. Ok then, no problem. I ordered the 3x for the gnome and its too small and very tight in the chest area! Whyyyyyy there isn't even a little stretchy fabric on these plus size costumes baffles me. Like seriously, can you guys put a little stretchy material in there for those of us who need it. Had there been a little stretch in the bust area, I would not have to return this for size. It's pretty upsetting to have to order a size 4x, like I know I'm a bigger lady but not a size 4x. Please, consider adding a little stretch to the materials used to make the plus size costumes. From all your plus sized costumers. Thanks!
