He improved the incandescent light bulb, giving light to the entire world. He also invented alkaline batteries that could be used in all sorts of portable gadgets, along with some of the first movie cameras. Why, we owe most of our modern lives to Edison. Movies, recorded music, light... it's all stuff we use every day! We often wonder who the next great inventor will be. All it takes is some wits and a little bit of ingenuity. Design & Details
Your child will be ready to create some brand new gadgets when they wear this Kid's Thomas Edison Costume! It's one of our Made by Us costumes, which means our costume designers took great care in crafting a look befitting of the iconic inventor! The costume starts with a black overcoat designed to look like old-fashioned fabric, just like Edison may have worn. The matching pants fit with elastic in the waist, and the vest and collar combo give the outfit a turn of the century sort of look. Finally, Thomas Edison was a dapper dude. He definitey would have been wearing a bow tie while showing off some of his new inventions! This costume conveniently comes with a no-fuss bow tie that your child can wear to complete the outfit.
