A Tip of the Hat
There are no limits to Carmen Sandiego’s adventures. She’s been to the Great Pyramids of Giza and she’s walked the streets of Rio de Janiero. She’s plotted the most brilliant heists ever seen and she’s held the world’s most precious jewels in the palm of her hand. She does it all with a twinkle in her eye and a sly tip of the hat to the ACME agent who almost caught her. Of course, if you plan on dressing up like the cunning and charismatic Carmen Sandiego, then you’re going to need her signature hat!
Design & Details
This officially licensed hat is designed to look like the one worn by the legendary master thief! The hat is made of polyfoam material, which helps it keep that dashing shape. It has a wide brim and a yellow band around the crown. Just pair it up with our Carmen Sandiego costume and you’ll be ready for a few globetrotting adventures of your own.

After lots of searching for a hat for my Carmen Sandiego costume, I finally settled on this one. I have a pretty big head and was going to be wearing a wig, so I was having a hard time finding a hat that would fit. I measured my head with the wig on - it was 23.5" circumference. I finally decided to go with this hat (even though it wasn't quite the look I was going for) because it was the only hat I could find that was under $20 and said it was big enough. The description of the item states it has a 24" circumference, so it should have fit comfortably! I finally got it, and realized right away it was going to be too small, but I didn't have time to return it and find another since I needed it in two days. With the wig on, I couldn't get this hat on at all - it just rested on top of my head. I ended up safety pinning it to my wig to keep it on through the night.
Besides the fact that it didn't fit and they falsely advertised the size, it's just a cheap-looking hat. If you've got a normal-sized head, there are plenty of hats for only a few dollars more on other websites that look nicer and could be worn again (not as part of a costume).Was this review helpful to you?
