SpongeBob Party Ideas

Have you ever wanted to wear a bunch of SpongeBob SquarePants costumes with your friends for a birthday or just because? We'll show you the ins and outs of having the best SpongeBob theme party! Whether this will be a SpongeBob party for adults or kids is up to you, but every theme party needs costumes, food, and activities. Most important of all, let's make sure that everyone has fun. "F" is for friends who do stuff together, "U" is for you and me, and "N" is for anywhere and anytime at all, down here in the deep blue sea!

If you want your guests to feel like they stepped into Bikini Bottom, you must have some SpongeBob SquarePants-themed decorations. Character balloons are tons of fun, but even something as simple as hanging pink and purple streamers to look like jellyfish tentacles works well. Print out the iconic flowers and bubbles used in the show to stick on the walls, and you're ready for a jellyfish jam!

It's hard to have a SpongeBob SquarePants party without costumes! Find your favorite character costumes like SpongeBob and Patrick, or there's always the option to DIY a beloved obscure character. (You want a breaking news fish costume? Go for it!) However, we don't want to see anyone fighting over who gets to be handsome Squidward.

SpongeBob Food

A fair portion of the show is spent around SpongeBob and his job at the Krusty Krab, where he makes Krabby Patties and thwarts Plankton's attempts to steal the secret recipe. This is, of course, the perfect opportunity to serve slider burgers and fries. If you want to delve even further into SpongeBob SquarePants cuisine, you can find copies of the Galley Grub menu and discover creative ways to serve coral rings, kelp bits, and more.

SpongeBob Drinks

SpongeBob Drinks

The drinks you plan to serve will largely depend on who you plan to invite to your SpongeBob party. You might serve jellyfish jello shots and other cocktail beverages if it's adults-only. You might try green milkshakes or other ideas if this is for a kids' birthday party. (You may have noticed that kelp shakes are also part of the menu at the Krusty Krab!) Other easy options include blue Gatorade or soda labeled as ocean water.

SpongeBob Activities

Pool Party Games

The party activities you choose will largely depend on the friends you plan to invite and what you like to do together. The underwater theme of SpongeBob SquarePants lends itself well to pool party games and activities. Or, you could host a jellyfish jam session and dance the night away! Still, playing SpongeBob trivia or SpongeBob movies and TV episodes are all great ways to have a good time.

Get ready to party SpongeBob-style! Who is your favorite SpongeBob SquarePants character? If you could recreate any moment from the show with your friends, what would it be? Don't be shy, and tell us all about it. If you believe in yourself, with a tiny pinch of magic, all your dreams can come true!
