Product Description Celebrate your wedding day Renaissance style with this gorgeous wedding dress! A medieval or Renaissance bride might have worn a white dress like this one, but she might also have worn a brightly colored gown. The tradition of brides ALWAYS wearing white didn't actually begin until the 19th century. Blue was a popular color for medieval brides, as it was thought to symbolize purity. And usually, only noble or royal brides would have a special dress made just for their wedding. A commoner would simply wear her "Sunday best" clothes, whatever color they happened to be.
