Green Irish Renaissance Dress
Product Description If you want to look like an ordinary citizen of the 15th century, this Green Irish Renaissance Dress is just the ticket! It's meant to be worn over a chemise, since it's sleeveless and open at the front. And because of that, you don't need a servant to help you put it on. So you're ready to assist your noble mistress with her own clothing, help in your family's business, or do the day's marketing. Wear it to your local Renaissance Fair, and enjoy the food and entertainment on offer. Get in on audience-participation acts. Have a meat pie or turkey leg, and a tankard or two of ale or mead. Add a circlet of flowers in your hair and dance around a Maypole. Learn a few songs that were in the Top 40 in the year 1500. You don't even have to know how to play the lute! Or, perhaps, wear this dress as a costume in a Shakespeare play. Just because the name says "Renaissance" doesn't mean the dress is limited to that! You could be a resident of the Emerald City in the Land of Oz. Maybe an old-fashioned leprechaun. Or a Christmas elf. It depends on the accessories you choose. If you want a versatile costume, you've just found it!
*Please note the chest measurements are a result of putting the front together and measuring from seam to seam.

Irish lace-up Ren Overdress

By  - July 14, 2013

I bought this overdress for our school's Shakespeare Day. I also bought the chemise to go with it. Very well made. Boning along the eyelets keeps the front together nicely with easy lace-up. Great costume!
