The Vikings actually had more in common with your toddler than you might imagine. The biggest parallel is that they’re both unimaginably destructive forces of nature. However, while in the Vikings’ case they fought for control of the European continent, your toddler enters his berserker frenzy because he wants to stay up an extra half hour. Also, the Vikings didn’t have bathrooms on their ships. Was it because they weren’t potty trained yet? Plenty of toddlers would sympathize with that! Finally, Vikings never used forks, preferring instead to eat with their fingers. And who’s a bigger finger food aficionado than a two and a half year old?
It’s not a perfect similarity, of course. Your typical Viking stood over six feet tall and was capable of chopping a tree in half with one axe swing. Imagine putting one of those down for a nap when he got crabby. They could also sail over 120 miles a day. This is a bit more daunting than your little guy’s next big expedition: kindergarten.
If you want your tyke to be as much like a Viking as he can (minus the pillaging part), then he has to have the style. So look no further than our Valiant Viking Costume! With the Viking’s iconic horned helmet, armored tunic, and furry boot tops your rascal’s going to look the part to sack the world in minutes flat. Just give him a sword, a shield, and a bottle of mead (we won’t tell him it’s just apple juice).
