Time traveling requires a certain sense of cunning and savvy, but it also requires a certain kind of Time Lord sense of that great big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey wimey... stuff. Alright, you might need a few more things than just that.
You'll also need to be in possession of a sonic screwdriver (try to make one that works on wood this time.) You'll also need to grab a banana to carry around just in case you have a craving for a banana daiquiri a few centuries before they were officially invented. Oh, and you'll also probably want to have a Time and Relative Dimension in Space (functioning cloaking device optional.) Huh, do you happen to know where we can get a hold of one of those? Maybe Ikea's got a kit for one or something?
Maybe we just have to master the look of the great Time Lords. We do look very similar to them after all. We recommend trying on the functional and fashionable overcoat of the great tenth doctor as sported by the fantastic David Tennant. This officially licensed Doctor Who 10th Doctor worsted coat has full satin lining for a comfortable fit. The jacket fastens with faux-horn buttons at center front and a second row of buttons give it a double-breasted look. A flap pocket adorns each hip for added authenticity. Just be sure to show off his hilarious quirks and goofy curiosity to the best of your abilities. Alonze!

There are plenty of coats like this one on ebay, and for cheaper, but the last time we bought a Doctor Who coat it turned out horrilbe. but not with this one! it is very accurate to the original and not NEARLY as expenssive.
