Party Monster Nail Tutorial

If you’re planning on rocking our Party Monster costume this Halloween, you’re already pretty much guaranteed to have a great time. So why not kick the whole thing up a notch with a super fun matching manicure?

You will need:

I’m using:

  • Sinful Colors: 24/7

  • OPI: The “It” Color

  • OPI: Suzi Says Feng Shui

  • Sinful Colors: Hottie

  • Essie: Stroke of Brilliance

Step one

The first step to your manicure is choosing the right colors! I started out with a hot pink and yellow to match the colors in the Party Monster costume, using yellow for the accent nail.

Step two

From there, I added some fun freehand designs with a blue to bring out the blue in the costume. For striped designs, you can also wait until your base color dries fully, then use a piece of scotch tape to create a clear line. In this case, I decided to freehand the designs because the bit of imperfection seems more “monster-y” to me! As you can see, I tried a few different designs that play into designs with the costume. Feel free to use any or all of them.

Step three

To finish things off, I added blue glitter to the top of the accent nail as well as the polka dot nail. When I first added glitter on the polka dot nail, it muddled the dots too much, so I redid the dots over the top of the glitter. Finally, add a great topcoat over the top and you’re ready to go!
