James Gregory is a student at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. This was his first attempt at building a costume out of EVA Foam. The foam itself is ridged, but with added heat it becomes completely pliable. He designed the costume to fit small to large. Each component of the armor that wraps around has Velcro straps for adjusting.

Rachel Lichtenwalner is studying fashion design at Marist College. The phoenix costume is a sweetheart neckline with an uneven hem. The top of the dress is sleeveless in a nude fabric that is embellished with more than 1, 000 Swarovski crystals. The dress is covered in feathers; that graduate from yellow feathers into orange and red.

Kelli Cerini is studying fashion design at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. As a designer, the Victorian period has always been an inspiration that she consistently returns to. She also loves Sci-Fi / scary movies that include vampires. Kelli decided to combine the two things that interest her most to create "The Victorian Vampire”.

Gretchen Halle is studying theatre with an emphasis in design at Boise State University. This costume was originally a design for the character of a wolf in a musical. The idea is a wolf head with the face coming through the mouth. Gretchen wanted the head to look as realistic as possible, but bring out some of the human qualities in the rest of the costume.

She attended Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Animation and attended the Disney College Program in Walt Disney World. Since then she has become a professional photographer and does costuming photography.

Megan wanted to bring an inanimate object to life and chose a gumball machine costume. The costume features a coin-slot pocket and gumball dispensing bandolier; dispensing real gumballs.

Melissa Som is a student at West Chester University. The Koi fish is symbolic for luck and different meanings determined by the colors. She created this costume as a body suit, allowing the attributes of a woman's body to be seen and to have the elegance of the real Koi fish with the scarf like material portraying the realistic flow of the fins.

Rachel Elsten recently graduated from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) with a major in fashion design and has been costuming and making eveningwear since 2005. Her ultimate goal is to open a bridal boutique and make costumes for movies. Rachel loves the Post-Apocalyptic genre thought it would be cool to make a design for the zombie apocalypse.
