My favorite scary movie scene is from Insidious where the father goes into the alternate reality to save his son from the demon that took him away. Seeing the demented family in the living room just sitting there is freaky enough, but their faces/masks are really disturbing!

One of my favourite scenes from a scary movie would be in Final Destination3, I think, when the two girls get burnt alive in a tanning salon. It just goes to show that medical experts are right, tanning beds really are a contributor of death.

The one that sticks out is Nightmare on Elm Street, I believe it was part 3. Freddy traps one of the girls in the alley and his fingers become needles..what a rush!!! NOES was scary at times but the underlying humor was great!

The movie :Insidious.  The scene :Sitting at kitchen table one lady is talking about
the monster the scene keeps going back and forth between a shadow with long
nails reaching for a comatose boy and the 3 people at the table when all of a
sudden the camera turns toward the dad and a red faced demon is behind him.
It looks like the demon is stepping out from behind him.

I don't really like scary movies because...well, they're scary! And I am a serious fraidy cat. But I have seen a few, so I would have to say the scene in The Ring when the little girl comes out of the tv. That whole movie freaked me out really. And it seemed like every time I closed my eyes, I saw a burning white ring. I would be totally whacked out in my bed at night when I HAD to close them!!!

My favorite scary movie scene is when Georgie's boat goes down the sewer and IT was there holding the boat. IT the clown tries to convince Georgie to go down the drain where cotton candy, rides, and surprises are. Georgie then reaches for the boat and the clown pulls him in. I hate clowns so this is the scariest movie ever!

I want to change my answer to the elevator scene in the Dawn of the Dead remake. When the mall they're staying in is overwhelmed by zombies and they all cram into the elevator and the music is catchy, calm, elevator music- like they're NOT running for their lives from a horde of mutant zombies. LOL

My favorite scene from a scary movie: I would have to say it would be the transformation scenes from "The Lost Boys."  Think about it, throughout the whole movie, you KNEW they were the bad guys. You KNEW that they were the monsters that were the reason all the people of Santa Carla were disappearing. Yet you don't even know what they look like until about 3/4th the way through the film. They didn't show any of the death scenes until they tried to coerce Michael to turn and attack, and then all of a sudden, these devilishly handsome guys turn into vile, evil, creepy, yet still somewhat attractive looking fiends from HELL that butcher and slaughter the crowd of bonfire partying beach-goers. And then at the end, when you finally find out that Max was indeed the head vampire all along, when you didn't expect THAT in the slightest, the grotesque wicked face they gave him as the head-honcho of badassery...oh yeah. That movie still sends chills down my spine every time. ^_____^ <3

My favorite scene from a scary movie is in the movie IT by steven king. When pennywise the clown was in the sewer and had a balloon and said we all float down here. The other tie for me would have to be in trilogy of terror when the little monster doll with the knife was in the elevator and attacked the lady and she became one too. Those movies made me scared of sewers and elevators.
